Cassandra Telenko joined Georgia Tech in January 2015. Her prior appointments include a postdoctoral research position in the MIT-SUTD International Design Centre with joint appointments at MIT and the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). She was a National Science Foundation Graduate Fellow at the University of Texas at Austin where she earned her PhD in Mechanical Engineering.
Marta Hatzell joined the George Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering in August 2015.Prior to joining Georgia Tech, she completed a postdoctoral research fellowship in the department of Material Science and Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In August 2014, she completed her Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University as a NSF Graduate Research Fellow.
Matthew McDowell joined Georgia Tech in the fall of 2015 as an assistant professor with a joint appointment in the George W. Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering and the School of Materials Science and Engineering. Prior to this appointment, he was a postdoctoral scholar in the Division of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at the California Institute of Technology, where his research was focused on improving the stability and efficiency of photoelectrochemical devices for the production of solar fuels. Dr. McDowell earned his Ph.D.
Shannon Yee began as an Assistant Professor in the G.W. Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering in the fall of 2013. He completed his PhD at the University of California – Berkeley under the supervision of Prof. Arun Majumdar, Prof. Chris Dames, and Prof. Rachel Segalman. In 2010, he was named the first fellow to the U.S. Dept. of Energy's Advanced Research Project Agency – Energy (ARPA-E) assisting to form the agency in its inaugural year.
